Conflict in your family may be the most difficult and painful experience you will ever have to endure. Divorces, parenting disputes, financial support, dividing up assets, changing an existing child support order – all of these issues (and more) involve a variety of personal and financial and emotional considerations that are taken into account when we provide our clients with legal assistance. We try very hard to take a holistic approach, because the legal considerations cannot simply be separated from all the other needs of your family.
For over thirty years, we have provided the legal information that our clients need to make thoughtful decisions; we have assisted our clients in identifying the best legal options for them to achieve their goals; we have represented them at all stages of the process.
Call or email us now. We will conduct a brief on-phone interview to determine that we provide the type of legal services you are seeking, and to ensure that we have no conflicts of interest. We will then schedule an initial meeting with your preferred attorney, during which you and she will discuss the details of your case, and she will answer your questions, explain the area of law that affects your situation, and give you an opportunity to get to know us. Our office does not provide free initial consultations.

Harvey&Mahoney, P.A. began in 1981, when J. Campbell Harvey and Marilyn T. Mahoney formed their partnership to provide affordable legal services. Gail E. Bakis joined the firm in 2012. We are ably assisted by Gail Hutzley, our paralegal, and by Vicki Farren, our office administrator.
We were the first all-women law firm in New Hampshire. Almost immediately, we focused our practice on cases relating to family and domestic issues. We have maintained that focus, and have committed ourselves to providing the highest quality advice and representation to clients based on their individual needs and goals.
Our clientele comes from all walks of life, all economic backgrounds, and all ages: firefighters, teachers, fathers, mothers, domestic partners, carpenters, homemakers, business owners, nurses, attorneys and doctors (and their spouses), retirees, and veterans. Our clients come from all over New Hampshire. We practice state-wide, appearing in the Circuit Courts in all counties.
